My first decorating purchase was a tiny, cozy club chair. It was a marked-down floor model, and I fell in love with it. It has occupied a spot at my bedside for many years.
Originally upholstered in sage green, it has been in every room. It's been draped, pillowed and slip covered and is the chair I always chose to put in the guest room when we have sleep over visitors.
Every Christmas season, I move it to the living room to complete furniture rearrangement around the tree. One day, I hope to give it a denim cover to go in a child's room. But for now, it's my first and most favorite purchase.
