Checking a store's clearance corner is a standard shopping activity for me.
Surprisingly, I found my best bargain at Staples in 2006. It was an adjustable-arm, brushed pewter desk lamp by Catalina for only $2.50 (originally $24.95)!
I brought four lamps home - one for myself and the rest to use as gifts for my family.
I still smile whenever I see the bright sophisticated look and the brightness this bargain lamp provides for my office area!
